A little about myself
I am a freelance graphic / web designer and I have twenty years experience in the design industry, where five of which have been involved in the design and building of websites.
I have a variety of skills that I have attained through my years of experience. These include extensive knowledge of the design for print process. From taking a detailed, or not so detailed brief, as the case may sometimes be, through to the finished artwork, including project such as the designing of a stationery suite through to the production of packaging artwork and exhibition material.
I use the industry standard software in my day-to-day working environment.
The kit I use is an Apple Mac G5, unfortunately not an Intel version which I will acquire sometime soon! I must admit that I'm a bit of an Apple enthusiast. Gotta love their styling haven't you?!
When designing for print I have strong knowledge of the following software packages:
- QuarkXpress;
- Adobe Illustrator;
- Photoshop;
- Indesign, and;
- Acrobat
Also when working on design for the web projects I use the following software packages:
- MacRabbit Espresso - I really nice piece of software for web development on the Mac from those guys at MacRabbit.
- MacRabbit CSSEdit - Absolutely love this app for working on cascading style sheets on a Mac!
